Terms of Service
Last updated: October 21, 2026
Short version: you must be 18+, you play with USDC you deposit, every auction is final, the cards you win are real graded cards held by a third-party vault, and prices can go up or down. Only play with money you can afford to lose.
1. Who we are
Storage Cards ("Storage Cards", "we", "us") runs the website storage.cards (the "Service"): live auctions of virtual "storage units" that contain sealed packs of graded trading cards. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
All card names, images and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are shown only to identify the cards.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if higher.
- You are responsible for making sure that using the Service is legal where you live. Don't use it from any place where online auctions, prize mechanics or crypto-assets like this are prohibited or restricted.
- You may only have one account. You may not use the Service on behalf of someone else, or if we have closed your account before.
- You may not use the Service if you are subject to sanctions, or to launder money or hide its origin.
3. Your account and wallet
You sign in through our login provider (Privy). Your account comes with a self-custodial wallet, or you can connect your own. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your login and wallet secure. We never ask for your seed phrase or private key.
4. Balance, deposits and withdrawals
- You fund your balance by depositing USDC on the Solana network. Your balance is an internal record of the USDC you can use on the Service; it does not earn interest and is not a bank account.
- Deposits are credited after the network confirms the transaction. Only send USDC on Solana: other tokens or networks may be lost.
- You can withdraw your available balance (balance minus any amount locked by your current winning bid) to a Solana address you control, subject to the minimums and fees shown in the wallet. Withdrawals are usually sent within minutes, but may be delayed for security checks.
- Transactions on the blockchain are irreversible. Check the destination address carefully: we can't recover funds sent to a wrong address.
- We may ask for additional information, or pause or refuse a withdrawal, if we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse or a breach of these Terms, or if the law requires it.
5. How auctions work
- A new storage unit opens roughly every 3 minutes. Each unit contains a fixed set of sealed packs, decided before the auction starts. The contents are hidden; hints are revealed during the auction.
- Before the auction we publish a cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of the unit's contents and settings. After it closes we reveal the data so anyone can check the unit wasn't changed.
- Each unit has a hidden reserve price. If the highest bid doesn't reach it, the unit isn't sold, the packs are not opened, and nobody is charged.
- Auctions close with a "candle": after a minimum time, the auction can end at any moment. The highest valid bid when it ends wins.
- When you are the highest bidder, that amount is locked from your balance. If someone outbids you, it's unlocked. If you win, it's charged.
- Every winning bid is final and binding. Bids can't be cancelled. If your balance can't cover a winning bid when the auction closes, the unit is not sold to you.
6. Opening and your cards
- When you win, we buy the packs in the unit at that moment from a third-party card vault and open them live. Each pack contains one real graded card, held in that vault and represented by an NFT. The cards you get are random: their value can be higher or lower than what you paid, and you may get back less than you bid.
- The card values we show are the vault's insured values, as an estimate. They are not a guarantee of what a card is worth or what you could sell it for.
- If a pack can't be bought (for example, the vault has run out of stock), we refund the price of that pack to your balance.
- Your cards appear in your Vault. While the instant buyback window is open (normally 72 hours after the card is pulled) you can sell a card back instantly for the percentage of its value shown in the Vault, credited to your balance. After that window, or at any time, you can claim the card's NFT to your wallet.
- Physical delivery is handled by the vault that holds the card, once the NFT is in your wallet, under that vault's own terms, fees and shipping limits. We are not responsible for the vault's services, shipping, customs or the physical condition of cards.
7. The jackpot
From time to time a jackpot card is hidden in a random storage unit. Whether a unit contains the jackpot is fixed before the auction and included in its published hash. If you win that unit, the jackpot card is yours on top of the packs. We will contact you to arrange delivery of the physical card (or, if that card is no longer available, a card of equal or greater value). The jackpot card, how often it drops and how it's funded may change at any time.
8. Points and the future token
You earn points by playing (see the leaderboard for the current rules). Points have no cash value, can't be transferred or sold, and are not a token, security or promise of anything. We may use points to decide a future airdrop of a Storage Cards token, but we don't guarantee that any token will be launched, its value, or how it will be allocated. We may change the rules, reset a season, and remove points earned through abuse, bots, multiple accounts or collusion.
9. Fair play
You agree not to:
- use bots, scripts or automated tools to bid or chat;
- use multiple accounts, or collude with other players to manipulate auctions or points;
- exploit bugs or errors (report them to us instead: we're happy to reward good reports);
- harass others, spam, or post illegal, hateful or misleading content in the chat;
- try to access other accounts, our systems or data you're not allowed to.
If you break these rules we may cancel affected auctions or points, reverse amounts that come from an error or abuse, suspend or close your account and, where the law allows, keep amounts obtained through fraud. If we close your account for any other reason, you can still withdraw your legitimate balance and claim your cards.
10. Risks
- The outcome of every unit is random. You can lose part or all of what you bid. Only play with money you can afford to lose.
- Crypto-assets carry risks: network outages, failed transactions, wallet loss and changes in the law. USDC is issued by a third party, not by us.
- The Service depends on third parties (blockchain, login, card vault). Their failures can delay or interrupt the Service.
- If gambling or chasing losses is becoming a problem for you, stop and ask for help. Contact us and we'll close your account.
11. Mistakes and outages
If a technical error causes a wrong result, balance or price (for example, a card value or a bid recorded incorrectly), we may correct it, including by reversing or adjusting the amounts affected. If the Service goes down during an auction, we may cancel that auction and unlock or refund the bids.
12. Liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses caused by third parties, the blockchain or events beyond our control, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the law that can't be limited.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. If the changes are important we'll tell you on the site before they apply. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new Terms.
